What’s covered

Peanut Gallery covers public meetings of Vancouver City Council and its standing committees — including regular Council meetings, Public Hearings, and committees such as Policy and Strategic Priorities and City Finance and Services.

Meetings are sourced from the city’s recording platform, Sliq/Harmony, which the City of Vancouver adopted in November 2022. The intended back catalog begins with meetings from November 3, 2022.

Current status

Processing the full back catalog is ongoing. At this stage:

New meetings are detected and displayed shortly after they appear on the city’s platform
Older meetings from before this project launched have not yet been processed
Some displayed meetings may be missing transcripts, structured motion data, or summaries — these will be filled in as processing continues

A meeting page without a transcript or summary reflects a meeting that has been detected but not yet fully processed, not a gap in the source record.

What’s not covered

Meetings held before November 3, 2022 (prior to the city’s current recording platform)
Closed or in-camera sessions, which are not published
Meetings of bodies outside Vancouver City Council (school board, park board, etc.)
